Brief CV
Georgios A. Triantafyllidis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1975.
He got his high-school education at Axioupoli, Kilkis (60 km north from Thessaloniki).
He received the Diploma degree in electrical engineering in 1997 and the Ph.D. degree in image/video processing from Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2002. Then he joined the Informatics and Telematics Institute of CERTH in Thessaloniki, Greece  as a senior researcher. He also served as visiting lecturer at the Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
Since 2008, he has been assistant professor of image processing at the Applied Information Technology and Multimedia Dept of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, Heraklion, Greece.
He has been involved in several national and international research projects, where he conducted research in various fields of 2D/3D image/video processing, analysis and coding, computer vision and published more than 70 referred research papers.

He is married to Eva and father of Anestis, Periklis and Yro
